I'm not sure why we have never looked at the Googleplex before. One advantage of leaving it until now is that we can take advantage of Google Maps' December image update that provides very high detail satellite imagery of the Googleplex.

One very noticeable aspect of the Googleplex in this detailed imagery is the number of solar panels Google have installed. Through the installation of these panels Google plans to meet about 30 percent of the Googleplex's electricity needs.
