Grand People's Study House, Pyongyang

The Grand People's Study House is a building in Pyongyang, North Korea. The Grand People's Study House is the largest Korean-style building built under the grand plan of President Kim Il Sung. After only 21 months of construction it was opened in April, 1982 with a total floor space of 100,000 sq. m. in over 600 rooms with a total seating capacity of more than 5,000. The storage capacity of the Study House is 30 million volumes.
